06. Teaching and Learning-Teaching Staff Appraisal and Development Portfolio

Evidence to be gathered for the Teaching Staff Appraisal and Development Portfolio.

  1. The schedule: It is pinned to the Wecom group for easy access for parents and the actual class schedule.

2. Classroom practices supporting being safe, respectful, and responsible 

We reviewed the school-wide posters and made our own version of it.

3. Contribution to unit planning: Support the team in organizing the unit planning and guiding them on the next steps. Contribute as we refine the delivery and alignment of the units. Contribute to updating the digital versions of school documentation.

4. Integration of the design process, DEIJB, SDG concepts in the inquiry 

This is my personal weekly plan. I try to integrate DEIJ or SDG when possible.

5. Samples of an innovative approach to learning 

Using technology to translaguage for students. They might not have a content barrier but a language barrier and because of the language barrier, they shouldn’t stay behind.

6. Differentiation approaches in class

These are just an example that I happened to have on my phone, but we are constantly tailoring the experiences for all the kids either. We make modifications either in language, content for higher and lower levels, in socio-emotional needs and sensory needs to adapt to the kids in class.

7. Learning data showing student progress or achievement 

I don’t have a very organized system but with my grid, I can tell exactly where each kid is in all the areas. Also, I often cross references with Ms. Gigi to have a more holistic and broad picture.

8. Analysis of class assessments 

My analysis is very basic. I usually call the children who need more practice in the given skills, and concepts and reinforce 1-1 with them. This, based on the annotations I run in the chart.
